Sorry to hear you and others are suffering Folly Mon as I have Osteoarthritis plus have had Rhumatism all my life so have always suffered with pain and now it is in my joints am suffering even more and as we are now having this damp weather {rain}it is feeling worse. My Dr told me to take Glucosamine and the ones I take also have Chondroitin in them.

The best thing I have found which helps is Devils Claw and this natural anti-inflammatory works wonders on my joints plus I have a tube of Piroxicam {0.5%}Gel which the Dr prescribed for me and when my ankles especially are playing up I rub that in and within a few days the pain has gone:yes:

At the moment,my fingers are stiffening up and if Mr Kandy sends me a text message by the time I have replied my fingers have all gone stiff so I do my clenched fist, then flick the fingers to open them exercise and i find that really helps:snork:

I keep talling Mr Kandy we need to go and live in a warmer country but as their economies are worse than ours we are staying here for the time being:biggrin:

Glad to hear that the gate is in place and i bet it looks really cool.We were given a new one last week that someone in the village had made for them but when it was delivered it had a piece broken off so as it was no good to them it was offered to us although i don't think Mr Kandy will be erecting any time soon as the weather is going down hill again this week:snork:

Good luck and hope you feel better soon

Thanks for the info about the Devils Claw Kandy! I'll have to check that out too. The link I posted has all sorts and really good prices plus free shipping. Nick, if you get some of that it takes a couple of months for it to build up and for you to really notice it so just keep taking it. As I said too I never noticed it was working for me until I STOPPED taking it. Hoping you're feeling better today.

Ooh Nick understanding your pain, I have it in my neck & dreadful arthritus in one shoulder now where I was in a bad smash years ago..
I take the Glucosamine & Chrondroiten & it helps a lot. I also take cider vinegar in the mornings.. I also suffer with crystals in the muscles so & eat a low protein, high fibre diet, drink planty of water every day & go for a whole body massage once a month... :spinning:

I've found that pharmaceutical grade liquid glucosamine works better than the tablets (on dogs anyway :doggieshmooze:).

I use Synflex or Flexwize and it works wonders on them :blue thumb:

I read on a forum that Sativex works to allieviate the pain ... (it is made and prescribed here in the UK)

but not sure if it cures the arthritus ...

my dad always wore a copper bangel when he was old .... not sure if that works either
