Hi, now all my spring flowers are out and garden is looking great, what to do when it dies off. Especially with daffodils,
primroses and Polyanthus. Do I leave the daffs in their beds and tubs to die back? And will the primrose etc come back each year if I just leave them.
My father used to dig all his bulbs up after dying and left them in the shed to dry until January before putting back.

    Suggestions please...

    Paul, Yorkshire.

Leave daffs to die down....about 6 weeks. :)
Primroses, etc., you can do a number of things.....leave them to die down, lift and divide and replant or, as I do with some of them, lift,,divide and pot up to plant back in autumn. This last option gives you free space for summer plants you might prefer there:)
