Asking for a friend on twitter...

does anyone know what these marks in the snow are? They are tiny and she has never managed to work out what they are from? They look like they're from a horse with teeny tiny hooves. :heehee: Theyre about 2cm across. She has been wondering what they are from for about 10 years!!

Oh dear, Muntjac? They breed all year round, so young ones can always be about.

    Any nibbling of plants?

I've seen very young Muntjac only about 300mm long, which would leave prints even smaller.

I agree with muntjac. These things are about the size of a small goat and bark like a dog fox

Good point Mike. It confirms my conclusion the culprit is in fact a moose wearing stiletto heels and practising its catwalk walk. [IMG]
