My pick and come again lettuce is actually edible now, certainly by next week.

Hearting lettuce takes longer but this young lettuce is so delicious I'm surprised everybody doesn't grow some for early use.:thumb: Compare the height with last week's picture

I planted up an old loo with tulips this spring, the stems were up and just about ready to flower, next door's sheep broke through the fence and ate the flower stalks :( but then my horses went through the gap in the fence and had a free days feed on their grass. A fair swap I suppose :)

Lots of animals around your way! My mother grew up in the Forest of Dean, couldn't plant anything too fancy because of all the sheep roaming around.

Well Folks, I have got as far as putting the photo's of my garden on photobucket but not sure how to get them from there to here. It says something about chosing a URL which has me befuddled.

moyra - got to photobucket, below each photo (when in my album page) are 4 boxes with writing in them. the bottom one says IMG CODE next to it. click your mouse on the writing in the box, it should become highlighted and say 'copied' next to it. if that doesn't work, right click on the writing and select copy.

then go to GC and on the part where you want your photo, right click. choose paste. you will paste a load of writing. This is your image!! job done, hopefully!!

This is the strangest container I have used in my garden. A good old fashioned bungalow bath for my runner beans!:)and a clothes rail to string the beans up to!
