Struggling for inspiration

firstly, let me apologise for being a little quiet at the moment. We've just got back from our holiday, so I've been busy in the garden.

Added to that, I've taken up a drawing challenge - to do an ink drawing each day for October. It is proving to be stimulating, thought-provoking and time-consuming!! Each day we are given a topic, and we have to do a drawing for that. Where possible, I am trying to use either actual objects, or at least my own photos. (Not possible for the Wombles drawing, but that's another story!).

Tomorrow's theme is "luxury". I was thinking of doing a detailed study of a full rose blossom, but wondered if that might be a little corny? Does anyone have any suggestions? (Got loads of photos of flowers - close-up, fungi, leaves, foliage generally, oh, all sorts!!)

Any ideas gratefully received!!

Hope you managed to find something @Sian in Belgium Personally, I don't think a rose in full bloom would be "corny" at all - nature was at her best when she designed the rose
An alternative might have been one of your dogs curled up on a chair?

In the end, I went for a flouncy peony-style rose. A step too far for my penmanship, but if you don't try....
