Stupid Signs

by the time one slams into that pole and fall backwards that should keep him off the grass...

 

I notice the sign doesn't even meet the 'two drunks high' rule. This is a rule I learned some 22 years ago in college at the start of the era of political correctness. The two drunks high rule relates to erected structures, that should be at least double the height of two drunken men on their way home from the pub who suddenly think it a good idea to jump up and see if they can reach the top of said erected structure.

I can see a compo claim coming when one drunk decides to not keep off the dandelions one night in the dark, and dislodges part of his delicate region on the sharp edge of the sign.

 

Shouldn't it read Keep Off The Weeds!

You have missed the point. This sign is intended as a warning. Keep off the grass, or indeed any other intoxicating substance. Otherwise you may decide than a grass verge the size of postage stamp is an excellent design feature.
