Suggest plant combinations for flowering border

    Hi all, what suggestions do you have for really nice looking plant combinations for borders? I imagine most of you had some (even accidental results) when you thought: WOW thats an absolutely great combination.
    PS: I don't mean well known classics like roses and lavender..
    The more unusual the better:-)
