Summer Bulbs

    Not really into bulb buying now. Although there was a few interesting ones on my list that I have not gotten too. However, we are into, digging up and splitting them. A job I hate. Usually plant in large circles so to avoid this, but after 15 years it is time. And then finding places for all the new ones. So in spring when they are up that is my plan to continue the process.

    I suspect that if you wash sea sand thoroughly it won't kill any plants. Its not porous so the salt only sticks to the surface and will wash off easily.

    However what you would then have the equivalent of builder's (or soft) sand that you can buy from a builders merchant. But I wouldn't use that for plants - as it drains less easily than "sharp sand".
