Hi @cindy, I've been trying to type this all week, a heartfelt hug to you for getting yourself focused, gardening is a wonderful thing to enjoy, I'm on the flipside here my son has had severe mental illness for 6-7 years and it has been a testing time for mum dad and sister, to me gardening has been a lifeline, it's so good to connect to nature , my son has been released from a section 3 this week so I'll soak up the sun, recharge and hope my battery doesn't get to drained to quickly :fingers crossed:

Good post mazambo...It’s important you do recharge your batteries too and take time out for yourself. :)

Hello Cindy. Not just words but, everything from the heart. I also was a member of GW. I felt that I had made so many new friends. I had recently lost my wife of 49 years. Suddenly diagnosed with a cancer. To me. My world had come to an end. On GW I became the cherry on the cake, even had a gigantic floral arrangement sent to me. Then suddenly, I was being accussed of everything. Why do people act in such a way on social media. I found this forum and what a difference. OK now and then members may perhaps have different views but there is no slanging matches. I truly hope you enjoy your stay with us....

@mazambo, hello and so sorry to hear of your troubles. Thank you for not only reading but replying to my post. I truly hope your son continues in the right direction. Enjoy the sunshine and the garden. I find it to be my only purpose in life apart from my kitty cat and he comes out in the garden with me and just follows me around never going far away from me bless him.
@Mike Allen. So sorry for your loss. I cant even begin to imagine how it must be for you. I hope you are doing better now and that you continue to enjoy your garden. I don't even go on GW anymore but I do watch Monty every Friday. This is the only social media I do as don't like FB etc. Full of everybody having fabulous lives that although fake make me feel even more alone. x to you both.

Cindy. Thank you so much for your very kind thoughts and wishes. Yes even now, that sad day is but like yesterday. Like you I seldom go to GW. Shame really, as there are many good folk on there and so much gardening know-how. However as with this modern day media, many consider it an excuse to be rude and insulting to others. Cindy, GC is a great forum. Please continue to post. Sincere best wishes. Mike.
