Item on TV last night , a pumpkin grower who grows them for professional carvers . New to me ? Once he paid $2000 for a special pumpkin seed , and it never germinated.

 

Bought several large pumpkins reduced to 59p each at Lidl this morning, weighed one and it worked out at 14p/Kg, so loads of cheap meals for us this month and help us stay within our £1 per person per day food budget.

 

Wasn't impressed with Morrisons pumpkins, they consistently sell the worst veg
