I had a dog that did this sort of thing. One day I came home and found my kitchen wrecked so I had to put baby locks on all the doors. Training didn't help either.

He hadn't eaten anything not even his own food!

My friends had a dog which they asked me to look after at my House when they went on holiday and I agreed.........this was before I had the two cats. It was a nice dog and seemingly well behaved. I left it in the kitchen with food and water on the first night and it never made a sound. When I came down in the morning it had eaten into the kitchen wall through the plaster to the brick. I wasn't happy but was more worried about the dog and how it would react to the diet of plaster. So I got some plywood and boarded up the walls to try and stop it doing more damage. When I came down the following morning it had eaten around 8' x 10' of the cushion floor. I never mentioned it to my friends when I returned the dog [still alive!!:heehee:] and repaired the Kitchen and if anything up graded it. Some weeks later I was visiting the friends and suggested I make the coffee as they were busy. When I went into their Kitchen the plaster board walls were full of huge holes...........!!!!! Needless to say I never had the dog again:doggiesmz:

We all learn by our mistakes Armandii. :heehee: I gave up with this dog after three years, he was making my life miserable, so he was re-homed warts and all with a young couple who took him on as a challenge, more fool them. I've had a number of dogs but never one out of control like he was.

Some dogs suffer very badly with separation anxiety. It's pretty sad really. The cats will occasionally wreck something like a toilet roll or sometimes the mail but it's all in play.
