The birds !!

This year with the weather up here in Scotland being so wet everything is so lush. the trees are heavy with growth the grass is so green.but this has caused me a problem(my lawns).
I have been keeping on top of my lawn with the mower on the first dry day that occurs, as we have not had many dry days. on doing this i had the lawns like a bowling green/ Lush/Level.
one morning i noticed holes on the lawns. after i had done a little bit of Hercule Poirot I discovered the Offending Culprits were Magpies,Crows,Wood Pigeons and a few other birds they were all digging the lawns for worms and grubs etc for their meal. i did not mind too much ,but i thought they could have had the manners to tidy up after their meals.:WINK1:.

I've been glad that the birds have gone back to the lawn now, since the rains came.

They'd been tearing the hell out of the veg bed.
