    Thankyou @Michael Hewett. :) It is cold but we all tend to acclimatise to the area we live in. I notice it more when the temperature drops below -5C/23F. The road itself isn't slippery as a gritter lorry comes round. Believe it or not buses use the road every two hours (including the school bus) hence the gritting.
