Last year, we ordered two Albertine roses, one turned out to be something else, a climber, but ...red!

My wife dislikes red roses. So it was banished to the bottom of the garden. We also had an elaborate bird feeder she got me to buy for the bed next to the patio a couple of years ago. The birds didn't like it. So that was "no longer required."

Anyway, I took out all the feeding trays and bird bath, stuck it in over the rose, which I trained to grow up through the middle and it's doing very nicely.

My son in law came across an old iron bed frame. he dismantled the ends of the iron bed frame and used the supports to make two standing plant stands. he welded some of the supports onto the long ends painted it all black, made it fast into the ground then hung hanging baskets onto the spars:cool: and it looks GREAT and cost nothing:). he can always say ,HE HAS A HANGING FLOWER BED :) music .

Very well done Doghouse, I just love seeing things reused/repurposed, a fab little feature for the end of the garden!

    Steve...:)
