We did Wordle twice in 2 and then missed out on the next two totally!

I use the word, Ratio, as my start word and you can imagine my astonishment when it came up in one. That lucky start was a couple of years ago. I don't think they use the same word twice so at least you can eliminate that one! :heehee:

I use Point, followed by Cares, and then Bulky (if the previous two haven’t yielded many hits). :spinning:

I’ve been using Mouse as a starter recently then Abide to cover all the vowels.

I use POISE and AUNTY as my first two, most of the time.
            Or ABIDE and COURT.

Ooh, I hadn’t thought of Abide. That’s a good ‘un. :blue thumb: I think I would follow up with Tours, as that includes a useful S.

Had some one knock on our door and offered to buy some new bed sheets as they looked at the one's on the washing line, must of thought, Poor people just look at the state of those sheets! They were heavyly soiled and had a big holes in them :help:

I use them for covering things up when it frosty and also use them when i trim our hedge's on our gravel driveway :dbgrtmb: they were on the line to dry out :thud:

What made me happy today? I had my OAP’s six monthly Covid jab (Moderna Spikevax) at 9 this morning and I haven’t felt any different since then. Hooray!

I don’t know if it’s made me happy or slightly sad. Here is a photo of our resident Mrs Mallard on this year’s nest. She is in the very centre of the picture. In the background is a well-used public footpath.

She has chosen a spot where every kind of creature is likely to find it. Dogs, rats, badgers, stoats, children, etc etc.

Not sure how long she’s been incubating her eggs there but I understand that a typical mallard sits on her eggs for between 25 and 29 days. No way is she going to rear any chicks in such a spot.

                      Another year without success.

Indeed. Here’s another, straighter photo with her circled in red. Her head is facing towards the bottom of the picture, her tail towards the top. Her nest is lined with soft feathers that she has plucked from her body.

Yesterday (sorry not today) we had the garden room door open as the sunshine was so lovely. But even more though was the blackbird that continuously serenaded us as we finished our day in the garden. Superb
