    As a novice at this gardening malarkey how cool it was last night to just have a look at my first set of cuttings that I have tried to see a few white roots emerging from the bottom of the pot. They were taken from a carnation we bought at the local fete which produced beautiful pink blooms so how exciting to see new generations developing from a simple cutting! I really expected them to fail but there they are still going. Simple things!!

        i never thought to try carnation cuttings,im trying my luck with allsorts not knowing what im doing :) honey suckle,lilac tree,fucshia cuttings,ferns, and a lavatera i bought this yr ..its hard being a novice but u live n learn x il see how they survive the winter :heehee:

        It really is great to see your work developing....and knowing what it will unleash in the summer! It gives me something to cling onto during winter too :dbgrtmb:
