      Nice one Folly Mon.:dbgrtmb:

The Maple would look nice with Moss under it:thumbsup: Especially with the autumn leaves on it.

That's the best thing to do, FM, when it rains...go to the plant nursery. Acers are really nice trees and it's nice to see them coming into leaf in Spring. You're doing okay, FM, you're doing okay!:D

Hi Folly Mon, Acers are among my fave plants. Gotta keep them out of the wind though as some varieties with fine leaves suffer badly from windburn. I've also found that with a little light pruning I can train them to suit a particular area. I love Acers.

What garden centre is this? I'd drive the full length of country to buy from someone who guarantees their plants for 5 years. A slug gets it, no problem, refund here we come. I forget to water it, the weather turns nasty, next door accidentally sprays it with round-up. No worries, just get it replaced under warranty:dbgrtmb:

I'm growing a few Acers on my bedroom window sil.. they're about 2'' high, going to be a longggg time before they look anything like trees. May look at investing in buying one fully-grown, though.

Looking great Folly, when I get home i'll scan a few pics of "The Ruinette"

The wall at College we use for training, its got many of the features of a masonry ruin, but we can train people to take apart, put back together, point, render & stone repair before letting them loose on the real thing.
