All you need is ONE plant. On Facebook today was one plant growing in a special greenhouse which produced a 32,000 harvest which is a world record (I was amazed!) Lots of shoots but only one main stem!!
No ...? Not going to try in ANY way!!!

The seeds for this one are for sale on eBay, @Glynne Williams . I have a couple of buckets of alpaca poo out in the garden, which should keep the plant going for a while. Maybe I should give it a go.

My 'Gardeners Delight' cutting is still growing on the balcony without any attention from me! I wonder if it will survive any more frosts like the 3 we had in December 2023?

That plant is hardcore! I test sowed one of its seeds that you sent me, @Balc. It popped up in five days. PXL_20240106_053459565~2.jpg

My Microtom "Fat Frog" that a certain saint donated to me is well on his way in my totally-not-shady bathroom growstation. His siblings havent appeared yet though.

Fat Frog is certainly a willing little thing. The bigger of my self-sown plantlets looks to be heading towards its first flower truss. PXL_20240107_083922461~2.jpg

i was waiting till March to put my Fat Frog seeds in the propagator but it looks like i will be a little late. Will probably settle for the middle of this week now! "Fingers crossed as I haven't sown from seed before"
I'm thinking I will need smaller pots with a micro bush @eatenbyweasels ... will 9L be OK?

I don't sow tomatoes till mid March @Grandma Sue otherwise they can get tall and thin searching for light. I aim to be planting mine in May in a greenhouse. If you start too early the plants become too leggy and you run out of room. Later sown plants catch up anyway.

Mine is in a tiny pot under grow lights. I sowed it very early just to we how it would grow!
I wouldnt worry about your pots being too big, beyond the danger of accidentally overwatering them indoors.

Thank you @JWK - I thought it was best to check that I have the month right; and have even got it down to sow in March on my work sheet. "still on a learning curb me thinks" :spinning:

I discovered the Fat Frog seedlings when I was emptying out the pots in early November. I wouldn't have sown seeds then, but I just decided to keep them going as an experiment. You're certainly not behind with your sowing. The pots I used for the Micro Dwarfs last year were probably about ten litres and there was plenty of room, so nine litres should be fine. In fact I may well try smaller pots this year as some American sellers of the Micro seeds talk in terms of pots as small as six inches.

Oh good, I was worried you were going to sow this week going by your first post!

I took some Gardener's Delight cuttings last summer aiming to overwinter them as an experiment. Unfortunately blight took them out.

Eaten the last big tomato today, picked early December and has been slowly ripening on the windowsill. It tasted better than I expected. The smaller ones may be ripe too, I can't remember if they are an orange variety
