PXL_20241007_073655763~3.jpg Dwarf Bendigo Dawn. All-round decent but not memorable.

PXL_20240826_122919132~3.jpg Cherokee Purple Cherry. Very decent dark cherry. No idea how it compares to the big version. Rampant vine with lots of fruit.

Brazilian Beauty. Lovely looking but a bit mild for me. Maybe better in a good summer. PXL_20240823_070639379~2.jpg

Pink Princess. Tiny pink cherries. Really sweet flavour. Almost seedless. Delicious but prone to splitting. PXL_20240822_171844432~2.jpg

The splendidly named Microbeicum Occemus. Bit of a monster, this plant. Lots of little red flatties. Full flavour, more savoury than sweet for me although my neighbour opposite thought they were sweet. All in the tastebuds. PXL_20240822_110038396~2.jpg

Gardener's Ecstasy. Very sweet and tasty. Smaller than G. Delight so a bit fiddly but worth it. PXL_20240822_104717695~2.jpg

Not Brandysweet Plum #1. This was supposed to be a potato leaf, small pink plum. Well, it came out pink, so one out of three ain't bad. Very tasty. Have saved seeds and re-sown this year to see what I get. #2, from the same packet of seeds, was a potato leaf and yes, pink, but a big, fat beefsteak. :noidea: image.jpg ( I got a refund from the seed company. )

Ambrosia Giant. Lovely taste. Sweet and spicy. The texture was a bit soft for my liking and the skin so thin you could bruise it with a hard stare. It wasn't very productive and I only managed to get a few seeds but I forgave it because of the taste. image.jpg

Amur Tiger. There are two sizes of this knocking about - a smallish salad and a big 'ol fatty. Was hoping for the former ( for ripening in limited sun) but got the latter. The plant was a total thug. I finally got these big gals to ripen and I must say they were great in a butty. image.jpg image.jpg

Accordian Cherry. Huuuuge vine with multiflora tresses of cute-looking little ribbed toms. Initially disappointed in the flavour but the later fruits were quite tasty. image.jpg

Sweet 'n' Neat Scarlet. Micro dwarf. Tiny plant, overloaded with red cherries. Impressive but the taste was only okay. PXL_20240621_094311719.jpg

Black Passion. Very handsome small black beef. Underwhelming taste and productivity. Also, supposed to be 70g! PXL_20240813_162850068.jpg

Aftershock. A dwarf cordon. Large cherry/ golf ball. Sweet with a touch of tart. Flesh soft but not mushy. More productive in open soil than in PXL_20240822_100351535~2.jpg PXL_20240822_100716345~2.jpg the greenhouse. Will grow again.

"Pasta di Piazza". Not the official name of this super little cherry. Sent to me by a seed swapper who, some years ago noticed the plant growing outside a restaurant in Italy. She cheekily tasted a fruit. It was lovely and sweet so she pocketed another for the seeds. Oodles of small cherries - too many for me to pick so the neighbours were happy to help themselves. Whatever the original identity, it's a keeper!
