Thanks Freddy, no I haven't grown Ferline before and was wondering what it tasted like. All the other blight resistant tomatoes seem to be bush/determinate types, whereas Ferline is a cordon/indeterminate type which I prefer (so I can train them up and around frames).

I'll definately give Ferline a go next year. Oh and Rosada as well.

Trouble is there are so many varities I want to try and cramming too many in has really caught me out this year. Will have to ask Father Christmas for a bigger greenhouse.

        Looking good John.
Best try to save some of those Armish again this year as the ones you sent back to me just never happened this year.
If fact toms are a washout and only just keeps us going for butties.
        Better luck next year.

:) That looks really good Pam, have you had many off them? I never do very well with the larger toms usually only manage a few off each plant.

:dbgrtmb: I've now made a note to myself to save some of the seed.

Yes it has been a bad year, as I said above I think it has paid off growing several different varities - some have been useless but others have done OK. :thumb:

          That tomato weighed 13oz :loll:

I can confirm that Rosada can get blight just as bad as everything else, but Koralik growing next to them remain completely untouched and without the benefit of any anti-fungicidal treatment.

I'm sure I got my seeds from Realseeds, but they're not their 2011 catalogue any more, but perhaps they're just sold out as a Google reveals something previously included about limited supplies of seed. So I'll make sure Im save plenty of my own seeds for next year.

Our Koralik are finishing now but still producing some toms. No sign of blight at all.

We normally just take seeds from our own ones. I find that tomatoes usually come true anyway :dbgrtmb: but I buy new F1 runner beans each year as they don't seem to do so well.

I reckon I've got about 900 Koralik seeds saved already, but I get a bit obsessive with seed saving and will still do a few more.

inspired by this, Ive decided to try
                  Gartenperle (bushy)
                  Roma VF ("cooking")
                  Brandywine Black (Liked the name)
next year to make a change from the normal Gardeners Delight etc - I have an excess of seed so if anyone wants a dozen or so seeds of above drop me a PM.

Anyone have any reccomendations for an outdoor variety that's good for slicing? We grow the sungolds for our cherry type but I want a nice tasty one I can slice and eat with lime, feta cheese and a bit of garlic salt. DROOL!!

                    Here

                    John,

For a yellow Tomato, not quite as sweet as Sungold, you could try 'Sungella" its sweet with a lovely tangy tomato aftertaste, its a heavy cropping sungold hybrid, in the photo below the smallest tom is sungold size the largest is the size of a Moneymaker.....Dripping in fruit!

Grew 3 Losseta plants that are meant to be blight resistant & have so far not suffered.

Had a touch of blight at West Bay, but picked the affected toms & sprayed with boardeux mix & its not spread.

Had about 5 times again as this much & they are still coming.

Steve, I saw a big greenhouse come up on freecycle today and was really tempted, but work got in the way.

Yes, I did, in a pot and 2 hanging baskets. They are small, but lots of them.

                        Here's some Car Dried Tomatoes,
