    I think I can remember talking to Pete and a few others about these beanie type seeds off a tree that slipped in my clothes when on holiday in Ibiza ;) and said i would post a pic when the leaves are out ..........the leaves are out [​IMG]

    Looks like a catalpa, Indian bean, pehaps not the common one, bignonoides, could be wrong.

    I actually got 2 germinated Pete

    So I do have one in a pot that I can take in the grenhouse in winter and have one bedded out in a sheltered spot

    not too sure on the hardiness?

    No, I'm not sure about hardiness, but I think most are pretty hardy, not come across Bayleaf's Bungi, so if it is that, well I dunno. :rolleyes:

    Leaf looks a bit small for a Catalpa. I did have quite a big one in my garden in Cambridge it was so beautiful the council looked over the fence and slapped a preservation order on it....would you believe that....

    Just a thought - Plants confined in pots do usually have smaller leaves (& C bungi's leaves are smaller than C bignoides)

    Yes agree there Bayleaf, hence I can keep a conker small that way too
