Two for two

For the first one I'd like to know both what it is and whether the birds will have any interest in those seed-like things growing on it. If not I'll consider pulling it, although it does look good. It's actually growing in a place I deemed impossible to grow on. I started digging a pit there (don't ask why) but I hit rock only a few inches down.

Second one will be pulled no matter what unfortunately, it's next to the fence. I have one at the back of the garden too but I couldn't find when I wanted its picture. I think it's shy.

Not sure about the first, but the second is Acer campestre,field maple, It`s a weed. Rip it out.

 

2. Definitely Acer.

But looks more like Acer pseudoplatanus. Common name Sycamore.
Or Acer platanoides. Norway maple.
