Tying a hedge back

    I think it's both. The lower picture is pittosporum and the other shows both two types of euonymus, perhaps one plant that has reverted.






    With the hedge it sounds as if it is leaning to the light and you will continue to get it growing this way unless you chop it back and control it. All the species, as the others have said, should take any level of pruning well.

      My thanks to you all. I'm hoping to have time to make a start on reducing the height and thickness of the hedge tomorrow.

        I put my head into hedge, only to be confronted with a pair of robins flying back and forth along the length of it.
        Scary at close range.
        So the pruning will have to wait.
