US to attack IS

Russia are now joining in!!!! IS will be finished thank goodness.

I wouldn't count on that. I don't know what news you've seen or heard but the only one I can find that suggests Russia will fight IS is this one:

The rest of the search results are a couple of weeks old and suggest that Russia is very much against a US led action against IS.

The Story on NBC suggests that Russia will support Iraq, not the latest US led coalition. The Russian spokesman said Russia is ready to support Iraq against terrorism, starting with IS, but they do not define 'terrorism'.

If Russia is going to work with the US and co, then I suspect it is only to enable them to be seen to be playing our game to distract the world away from the Russia/Ukraine situation. Past 'events' would suggest that Russia will be more likely to play a more antagonistic role, just as they did in the last Balkans war that NATO stepped into.

 

Hmmm, yes you're probably right, I was hoping it might be short and swift and over soon.

So sad to hear another British hostage killed by the IS.... This is so sad and my heart goes out to his family.
