Using heated propagators.

    When the seeds are just sown or very tiny plants I sit the seed trays in a tray of water. I have sprayed them too but a watering can may wash them away!

    That is why I have resorted to spraying. As even with a fine rose it can be too much. Previouse years seemed to be ok but for the last couple of years I've either cooked or drowned them

    Seeded trays are pre-watered and (hopefully) germinate before needed. Then:
    Use a Lucozade* plastic bottle with twenty 1mm holes drilled in the red cap. Nice squeezy action !
    6 Filled in advance and kept in greenhouse so as to achieve ambient temperature.
    * other colas are available
    Once growing on- stage, then immerse on gravel tray, then drained on slatted shelving.
