    Hi Su,

The simple answer is , no.

If the wasps are already at them they are probably ripe so you can pick them. If they're not quite ripe you can still pick them and let them ripen indoors. They will take longer to ripen if you put them in the fridge.

If you have too many ripe ones to eat then you can freeze them, cook some and freeze them, bottle them etc. They don't last long on the tree.

Wasps are always attracted to ripe fruit.
You can net them to keep the wasps off (might be difficult with a plum tree) or just pick your share and let the wasps have the rest.
    I think that's the choices.
Only other choice is pick the fruit under ripe and freeze for cooking or ripen indoors - but the wasps might even find it there !

I had to have a battle with the wasps on my plum tree.
I noticed that after a heavy shower there were fewer wasps to be seen on the tree, so I got the watering hose out, gave the tree a good drenching and then put my rubber gloves on and picked all the plums that I could before the wasps realised that I was there.

I had offered the wasps alternative suger supply but they were only interested in the plums.

Me and the wasps do not get on and I now have to carry an epi-pen !!!
