Well I’m so bad-i read a summary of what happens in the new book so I know the ending of their trainspotting story.

Donnie Darko 2?!?! I didnt know they made a second one!!! I really liked the first one. The soundtrack was brilliant.

I watch some of my many "film noir" recordings now and again, when there's not a lot on TV.
There's more contemporary favourites too. Like this I watched again, a few days ago.

Lone Star. No one's tried to remake that one.

I thought Elizabeth Pëna was amazing, a shame she died at 55.

Most people don't know they made a second one. And all of the very few people who have seen it wished they hadn't. Donnie Darko was a one-off. A work of genius that cannot be repeated. The second one was a travesty almost as bad as the Clash version of Police and Thieves. Hubris doesn't even come near to describing the reason for it.

When you say 'modern' ... do you mean the Lucas prequels or the Disney ones? I really enjoyed TFA, R1 and TLJ. I haven't seen Solo yet. But every copy of PM, Clones and Sith should be terminally destroyed.

A film presently being shown on 5Spike is the 1959, "S.O.S. Pacific," starring Richard Attenborough and Pier Angeli.
I liked it as it featured my second favourite aeroplane, a Catalina.

My favourite will always be a "Connie" in my opinion the most beautiful passenger aeroplane ever built, it became history once the jet liners came into operation.
It had a very tall undercarriage because of the length of the propellor blades.

Anything with Echo And The Bunnymen and Joy Division on it will be great!

            One to look out for!

Any of them. I was just left wondering 'why?'!

We watched They Shall Not Grow Old last night. It brings home the horrors of war and violent conflict in the most brutal way imaginable, nothing is left to the imagination.
It's on BBCiPlayer for anyone who is interested.

The last time i went to the cinema was when Terminater was released and Pulp fiction, thought that Pulp Fiction was funny and laughed all way through.. A cinema at Shirley Birmingham was the first to have THX so hubby wanted to see what it was like.
Then he wanted to have home cinema and got all the audio equipment for it. Since then haven't been, but watched a lot at home.
Seen Terminater and Termina 2, but not 3. Alian and Alian 2, Thelma and Louise,

Haven't got time at the moment to post the recent ones, will later.

Got Blu-ray in 4k Ultra HD these days.
Watched, The Martian, a man gets stranded on Mars and he has to survive. At first they think that he's dead but they find out that he isn't, so they plan a rescue.

Blade Runner 2049 and the extended edition. Seen the first one as well.

                  Deepwater Horizon
                  And Inception.

Must be about a year since we watched anything else.

Hubby always gets a extended edition or the directors cut after we've watched the first.

I love Netflix but not so much for films. Although what they have on there are very good, usually. And some films that you won't see anywhere else. But Netflix is worth getting just for their own products, IMO. There's original stuff that isn't the usual menu of rehash/reboot/remake that everyone else is producing. Some of it is beginning to make its way onto Channel 4, purely due to 'word of mouth' ratings.
Well worth the £6 a month.

                  Last night watched Bohemian Rhapsody
On 4k ultra HD blue-ray DVD it cost £20.00 from Tesco
It was great, it was like a story documentary about Queen and they performed on stage, I'd recommend anyone to see it.
