What! It was only just over three hours long!
It was one of those rare films that bought out the best in all involved, including John Williams whose music was inspired..................

He was, obviously, a criminal but, quite likely, not considered a serious one. In those days The Scrubs was used for first time offenders but MI5 took over part of the prison during the war, so some prisoners were moved out. It's now a category B prison.

Could he have been a conscientious objector? Just a thought.........

I don't think he would have been as it appears he was already a prisoner when MI5 moved in. Very few conscientious objectors were jailed and those that were weren't jailed for that specific reason. They were jailed for either not attending a Tribunal or a medical.

Great film of its time (had a bit of a thing for Molly Ringwald) and still ok today. Directed by John Hughes who also directed Pretty In Pink and Some Kind Of Wonderful:).
Sadly he was also responsible for Home Alone:gaah:

I watched a British film called Harrigan last night......................

It was a good enough film. One of the better British films of late. It got rather a bad reception, but I just thought that it was an easy watch.

I followed it up with Face, which stars Robert Carlyle, Phil Davis and Ray Winston................

              A great film!

One of my favourites too, be it film, TV or radio.
He had a great role in the Hitchikers Guide to The Galaxy.....................

I found this vid on YouTube earlier.....................
