Have not checked here regarding this situation if its changed or not. its the feeding tube, the one that goes in the belly, it keeps folks alive that are suppose to be brain dead. The situation is, its not just real easy to just pull that tube, takes lots of courts ect. family stress, ect.

The place I worked had a young lady who was born with lots of issues, her mental capabilities was like that of a 2 month old, IQ probably 10. she is kept alive by the feeding tube, staff turning her, staff changing her diapers, staff massaging her limbs, bathing ect. She has half a lung. Does not know her name, does not turn her head to sounds. She is about 26 years old now. Her mother her legal guardian. Yes, technically she is alive.
