Trump has "interfered" in European politics ( whether openly or covertly ) and is continuing to do so with his Greenland plans. Or maybe he doesn't actually know where Denmark is ? He also interferes in the Middle and Far East under the guise of bringing peace/halting wars. He has had no success as yet despite his claims that he has stopped 8 wars. More recently, his warnings of military action against Iran for their treatment of those taking part in protests doesn't gel with the actions of his military/customs/immigration troops within his own country. He no more accepts the right of anyone to speak out/protest against about their govt's policies/actions than do other dictatorships. Whilst I would agree he's not the only money grubbing power hungry maniac on the loose in the world, he and his cohorts are incapable of admitting it. "Don't do as I do - Do as I say" . What's the betting that when I go to lock up our ancient Church this evening, the Dinosaur fossil ( which I always have a quiet chat with ) will be laughing it's head off at us humans

Me personally, I don't think this is all to do with resources on Greenland. As already mentioned, China has the capability to manufacture and put to sea far more vessels than the US. When you take into account some of these vessels being built are classed as Hi ice, then they could easily dominate the waterways in the artic. Russia is supposedly investing in building over a 100 Hi ice vessels, with some being nuclear. With ice melting, more shipping passages have opened, with freight movement increasing due to the shorter route. Hi ice vessels are not container ships or military, however it does open a passage for commercial and military ships to follow.. Control of the NSR will have significant economic and strategic advantages I would of thought.

Yes, he only likes the "green" word if it is associated with Golf. He wouldn't accept that our world climate is changing again ( whether our fault or natural progression ) but at the same time wanted flood defences built at his golf course in Scotland. If we want to follow the trend in take overs, could not the Scottish Parliament take over his golf course without a murmur from him ? Not sure what excuse they could come up with ( other than just wanting him out ) but that isn't apparently necessary . Does he need to apply for a visa every time he visits another country? I doubt it. As the offspring of an immigrant, he has far less claim to be a true citizen of the US than do those of native American origin. I know we like to use the term "terrorist organisations" ( some well deserved ) but at what stage will we decide to use the term for Trump's administration ?

You will always get protesters and do gooders making it their business, its how western countries work, if you want to stop that kind of thing you are turning the place into something like Russia or China with secret police etc. You can't shut people down, but you can deal with them should they get out of control or break the law, IMO. Failure to stop when told to by someone in authority is one of those cases.
