@redstar your own president has removed women's right to manage their own bodies and fertility. It's about control. If he and his ilk were really pro-life they would be providing decent maternity care for free to all women and girls, plus nursery places and childcare followed by decent schooling. Instead, they are forcing girls of 13 to carry babies conceived in rape toterm, regardless of the risk to the physical and mental health of the girls. Same goes for older victims of rape and abuse and women whose health will be materially harmed by pregnancy.

He's also devised a scheme to reduce US female voting power.

I don't think A's arrest was that dramatic and doubt it was done deliberately on his birthday either. If he couldn't be persuaded to voluntarily assist in the investigation, presumably the police had no other option than to take the decision to arrest him. Even had he not been stripped of his royal title, he should be treated no differently than any other suspect.
I doubt it will ever really be known as to whether he engaged in sexual relations with a minor or without consent. More to do with being close friends with someone known to have consistently broken the law re supplying sex services and financial issues.

 

Apparently bail means they have to put a time limit on things, by just letting him go it can last for years, or so someone was saying on TV this morning.

I'm pretty disconnected on the whole , but I switched on the TV briefly this morning and it was either curling (again ) or wall-to-wall Andrew, during which I learned he was interviewed in Aylesbury, which I was fairly certain is not in Norfolk. Turns out it is in Buckinghamshire, not Surrey.

 

We don't know that was the case. I am happy for him to be treated like any other person. Would they arrest any other person when they clearly did not have enough to charge them though? And if there is not enough evidence in the Epstein files, what could they possibly hope to find through searches? I can't see him "keeping records" and their email exchanges are already out there.

The relish with which the BBC presenters were reporting yesterday was distasteful, IMV, as is sending cameras to lurk outside Buck House today. For what purpose?
