I'd say the toxic culture applies to both male and female. You don't have to be either one or the other to have been belittled or downgraded by society now or in times past. It would seem to me that the really OTT stuff (moticeably promulgated on SM ) by either gender bears a great deal of responsibility for all these Mental Health Issues which, lets face it, no one seems capable of dealing with to any degree. At times one could be forgiven for thinking that men and women were a completely different species and each require a different set of rules to adhere to in life.
As for trying to pigeon hole every single person, I'd agree - we all seem to have to carry a "label" of some kind these days.

 

Precisely so and good for you - a fair and, dare I say, a normal way of treating people. It didn't always happen that way tho even as late as the 1980's and still many discrepancies even now.

 

Trump makes his own laws - often using the word Emergency when doing so. I gather he has promised billions of dollars towards the reconstruction of Gaza - part of his infamous Peace Plan. What's the betting that it will exclude Palestinians and resemble yet another rich tourist hot spot like Dubai.

 

Must admit I was as puzzled as @katecat58 re the "commodity" statement. I'm only in my 70's but I was brought up to believe that there were 2 "bits" involved ( however obtained ) in producing another human being. Takes 2 to tango as the saying goes - usually anyway
