Can 5G never suffer an outage?

I'm pleased to hear a team of professionals was on hand.

I've always thought the mistake Thatcher made was calling her proposed Council Tax system the Poll Tax - no one liked that term and so the unfair system remained. Apart from the "banding" being well out of date, no account is taken of the number of people in a household - maximum of 2 paying the same as half a dozen or more.
I wasn't particularly condemning any of them - pre/during WW2 (no personal experience ) or after. However, if you forget WW2, I would suggest that there are far more serious global issues for any govt to try and deal with in the present climate than in recent decades. When Labour won this last election, voters ( and presumably Labour ? ) were not aware that WW3 was on the horizon. Difficult to know if any of the current lot on offer would have been able to handle things any better.
It's always much easier to criticise than to actually come up with a feasible solution tho I'd have to agree that the £40 k on offer to move back home is pretty desperate even for this govt.

Given our stone walls I can barely get a signal on my 3G (I think) mobile and it's not much better for t'other pair with their smarter 4G (I think) and there's only a very dodgy FM radio signal upstairs and none downstairs. As you can tell i'm not too bothered about mobile phones. prefer my PC and emails.

As for Thatcher - yes, she had the will and determination to break the stanglehold of 70s union paower that wrecked the economy and stopped investment in the older industries to the point they were not only uncompetitive but unsalvageable. She also dealt well with The USSR and that led to its eventual breaking up and independence for many of its former occupied satellite countries.

I think selling off gas, leccy, telecoms, trains and water was a huge mistake because there were no safeguards put in place to ensure their priorities were customer care with greater efficiency and profits for shareholders instead of just huge pay cheques for bosses and dividends for investors at the expense of investment in infrastructure in public services.

Selling off council houses wasn't bad for those who benfitted but preventing councils from building more for people in need of good housing was a gross error. Housing associations do not seem to be fit for purpose and slum are no better than old fashioned slum landlords when it comes to the quality and sanitary status of their stock.

@pete I agree about the Poll Tax, more accurately the Community Charge. The aim of which was for all adults to contribute to costs, not just the supposed 'head of the household'. I don't understand how anybody could think it fair for a household with 2 adults to pay the same amount as a household with half a dozen.

Thatcher among other crimes worked on developing Mr Whippy ice cream(add more air make more money), cancelling free milk in primary schools, selling off council housing without ensuring the stock was replaced, selling off the utilities mainly for the benefit of her pals.

It was kind of dragging us into the 20th century rather than the likes of staying in the 19th, I think the ice cream thing is stretching it a bit:biggrin:.
But I agree she should have allowed more council houses to be built from the money gained from the sell off.
Free school milk was a hang over from the end of WW2 when kids were rationed and had to go at some point.

Compared to the ultra processed food of today, Mr Whippy ice cream was positively nutritious! ;)

When you actually look at the sold off utility companies you have to wonder where the so called watch dogs have been for years.
They seem to have done nothing to keep these companies in check and just sat back and presumably paid themselves big money for doing sod all.

Eating air is not nutritious, and Mr Whippy was ultra processed containing a variety of stabilisers to keep the air in it and allow it to be dispensed.

I don't believe anyone actually drank school milk. Whenever I have heard anyone talk about it they say it was warm and disgusting.

I see Donald wants to select the next "Supreme Leader" in Iran unfortunately all those they had in mind have been killed by the ongoing air attacks.
