The politics/religion/mega-bucks combo is a dangerous thing for civilians around the world. The few at the top are all barking in one way or another, and drunk on power to boot.

 

Apparently there was considerable activity in oil futures about 10 minutes before Trumpy announced he was backing down on "Truth Social"
Insider trading? You may wish to think so, but I couldn't possible comment.

After Russia invaded Ukraine and there was a surge in gas prices which caused Pakistan considerable problems as Pakistan relys on LNG imports. So the Pakistani government struck a deal to import a large quantity of solar cells and rechargeable batteries from China. Recently Pakistan has been turning away LNG deliveries.
Currently Cuba is also importing a considerable quantity of solar cells and rechargeable batteries due to the US blockade on oil supplies.
Meanwhile the US (climate change and net zero are a conspiracy, folks) is paying $1 billion to Total not to build a large wind farm off the NE coast of the US.

 

What I really can’t understand is how a country as big and populated as the USA seems to be standing by, watching the biggest crook in its history destroying everything it supposedly stood for. Redneck republicans could muster a mob to storm the capitol when they incorrectly thought Trump should have won an election. Are all the decent and intelligent Americans just thinking to themselves that he will be out in three years time, so they are sitting back and waiting for it all to blow over. Well, the world as they know it won’t exist by then. Is all their news so censored that they don’t actually realise what is going on? I really despair.
