@pete one main advantage of the UK USA deal is that his rich cronies will still be able to buy Rolls Royce and Aston Martin cars at reasonable prices so that might save a few UK jobs and should please their German parent company. Can't see any other benefits for the UK but it seems much still remains undecided and it all has to go before the US congress anyway as he has no authority to sign deals without them.
lol. Trump said that to get the Democrats in a snit again, and we love it. In all truth there will be no more Democrat president ever again in the White House.
Actually the new Pope believes in hard work and gaining ground with merit work, so does Trump. He went to Villanova, he is from Chiago which is a dangerous area and run by stupid Democrats which let's hope he sees that. But time will tell. Frankly the Pope should follow the teaching of the scriptures, but given he is Catholic there are a lot of man made Catholic laws and tradition not found in the Bible. Other than he is from America I truly do not give much attention to Popes in general. Or my attention goes to seeing the pomp and circumstance that went along with the death and the new guy. Just like watching the burial of the Queen, the things humans come up with, the ritual stuff is amazing. With the Catholic church, money can buy you anything, even a seat next to all mighty.
All religious laws and texts are man-made, @redstar. All the pomp is part of the elite way of projecting themselves through the media as the important ones. Doesn't matter if it's a funeral, a coronation, an inauguration, whatever, the same playbook, largely with the same cast of characters, is used.
Not much of an explanation there @redstar If just saying things to upset others, it doesn't really speak well of someone who claims to be a world leader ( or even an adult ). It's not possible to state with any degree of certainty who will win a future election. At some point, you won't be around to vote and unless you believe in the Resurrection, you won't have any part in it nor know what's going on in your country or anywhere else. Personally, I don't have a lot of time for the UK's royal family but Trump loves them and has made his feelings known on countless occasions. Surprised he hasn't yet built a Balcony on the White House
He's planning to build a magnificent ballroom instead @Philippa. Au contraire @redstar I rather think, given Trump's "achievements" so far, there may never ne another Republican president. As for the senate and house of representatives, their craven sunbservience in front of Trump's illegalities means they may be blue too for many years to come. @Tidemark the last figure I saw was 92 million dollars. Inflation following his tarrifs? Either way, not bad for a military parade for a draft dodger and multiple bankrupt.
So Trump is going to reopen Alcatraz as a prison. Perhaps the U.K. government should build a super prison on an isolated island off the West Coast off Scotland to house murderers.

Another part of the world I’d never heard of. Mattel, is apparently a country inhabited by Barbie dolls. Watch: Trump misspeaks and calls toy firm Mattel a country
