Hi @wiseowl I just clicked back on my link and it said that it had expired. I got Crookham Wood by putting in the postcode of ME2 1JR on the search of that link (it's the postcode for Pilgrims Way, Upper Halling). That gives you the same view as the website of the Holborough Shoot with Lad's Farm on the corner of the road and the Shoot and woods just past it. It certainly seems to be the same Wood as appears on your link.

See if you can compare them. :blue thumb:

I would guess that 'Rochester Forest' may be the overall title of all the Woods around there.

@wiseowl on the latest link you have given the map shows an area circled in blue. Zooming in on that circle there are symbols inside the blue circle. These are red crosses leading to red diamonds. These red markings are sometimes show as green but mean the same. Both the red markings are symbols for a byway 'open to all traffic'.

I'm still slightly puzzled because the original link you gave was to the Holborough Shoot and they show their land being Crookham (Crookhorn) Wood which is slightly south and east of the Blue circle. This doesn't make any real difference as the right of way runs south from the blue circled area (supposedly Rochester Forest) and then east through Crookhorn Wood.

Either way, it seems as though there is a right of way.

I would contact the local council and ask about Rochester Forest and Crookham (or Crookhorn) Wood and explain that it is spelt differently on different maps.

@wiseowl Good morning on this lovely sunny, but nippy morning.

The other printouts you want to do are:-

The Holborough Shoot map from your link in post 7.

Click on the link in my post 14 and then click on 'Back to search screen' on it and type in the postcode ME2 1JR in the search criteria. Then scroll down once (using the scroll arrow) and scroll the left arrow once and you will have the map that covers their area and where your map is, in post 18, and print out that map.

Go to my link in post 19 (it's your map opened in a separate screen and you are able to manipulate it), scroll out twice (minus sign) and drag the map up slightly with your mouse until you have a similar map to the one in the paragraph above but it has it in colour with the right of way markings. Print that.

None of the maps mention Rochester Forest but the one in your post 18 is on the link that was headed Rochester Forest

It's always best to be armed with more than is necessary than with not enough :blue thumb:

Because carefull as the shoots can shoot across pubic rights of way, but there are rules that people mustn't get shot, resect is the key on both sides
