What Camera...???

    I have a Fuji s5000 (older version of what Fran has.

    It has the same 4x AA batteries (I buy the 2500 mAh (or higher) rechargeables), using Duracell or energizer, you will only get about 8-10 pics :eek: , just 4 rechargeables last about 80-100 pics.

    The s5000/s5500 have great features, and as has been said above, great 'optical' zoom.

    An additional lens is also available for wide angle shots.

    I bought mine from Ebay when it was about a year old for �£150, which was a bargain, would definately go for another of the same type.

    [​IMG] Thanks everyone for your input... I am quite taken by the sound of these fuji's. I shall go & have a look at one in-store. I am wondering if it is pocket size??? Still I suppose I shall find out... [​IMG]

    I tend to leave the adaptor ring on mine permantently, making it the same kinda size as the older film camera but it still fits in my old anorak with a deep front pocket. If I were to take the ring off, it would fit into most of my coat pockets - but slim, and palm sized it ain't - I like a chunkier camera.
