My potatoes have gone wrong! What happened? Other plot holders have had the same. Strawberries are unaffected - what is it? I assume a hard wind?

How dreadful. My strawberries literally vanished over last winter.

    Hi,

You don't say where you are, but Frost or as you say a very cold wind would seem the likely cause.

Assume the watering was done after the problem ?

Looks like plenty of good leaves below so expect they will recover ok.

      Hi

South east england. No frost that I'm aware of. It has been blustery though. Everything was hunky dory on Sunday!

The watering I did today, last watered on Sunday.

Hopefully they'll recover! Some other plants I'd recently put in I am less optimistic about...

I'm in S.E and the wind did keep the frost away for me, but I'm up relatively high, frost pockets would have caught it.
At this time of the year any frost is gone by 7 am usually.
On my 10 drive to work on a cold spring morning I can get a variation of 5C depending on how high I am at the time, and in spring its the low points that are the coldest.

Having said that, I think I might catch a cold tonight, its looking bad.
