Does anyone know the name of the indoor plant in attached pics please?

Was received by some friends as a gift about a month ago and they were told to water it every 3 weeks which they have done

They dont know the name of the plant - anybody know what it is called?

The red flowers on it have bloomed and are starting to die which is probably just natural life cycle - right?. What is the expected time of year when plant should flower and should the flowers last for long?

Friends have noticed that some of the green leaves (fronds) are starting to die off/wither too. They don't know if that is normal and to be expected or if they are doing something wrong in caring for the plant?

Soil in moist to the touch but not saturated or water logged

Anyone got any thoughts on the proper care to ensure plant survives and thrives plese?
    Thanks

I agree, hippeastrum. Like most (or maybe all?) bulbs, the leaves die back when it's done it's stuff for the year.
