I suppose that, being retired, everything I do is a hobby. :snork:

Reading has always been a hobby and I've calculated that I've read somewhere in excess of 15,000 books :rolleyespink:. These range from novels (a lot of science fiction and adventure/crime) to Shakespeare, maths, chemistry, economics, geography, travel etc. and have written three tour guides since retiring.
Cookery is a great hobby of mine - but not baking.
My major hobby is bridge and apart from playing between three and six times a week I run two clubs and teach bridge.
A waning hobby is photography but I still enjoy it.
Travelling the world also takes up a fair amount of time and I love seeing out of the way places and how people live and their culture and history. Also walking in the Lake District.
Consumer law and helping people with problems.
    Running advice for small businesses.
Charity work and voluntary work and helping social organisations reorganise and get up to date.
    Writing quizzes.
I, also, think about doing exercise but usually manage to sit down and get over it :snork: and spend some time each week working out how to avoid doing any DIY. :heehee:

Then, of course, there are a lot of things I do in my spare time :snorky:

I have found that I have LESS time now that I'm retired than when I was working. How's that then? It's true, though.

I have a Canadian Canoe hanging up in the garage and I only went out on it once last year. (I blame the garden.)

      :) :) :)

I've tried analysing this phenomena and have spent some time on it. I was going to try and quantify it until Mrs Shiney came up with her theory. She said to me "you're just getting slower in your old age!" :old: :snork: :rasp:

I Agree Kindredspirit, I have less time to myself what with watching grandchildren, and Great grandchildren, the house is a madhouse sometime. It's our own fault my wife and I had three Daughters and they have breed like Rabbits and all the children think our house is a play area, when they come in, which is regular.
Just last week I had one if the Kids on my left arm and I was trying to decorate the Kitchen with my right arm, and of course I had to give her a wee paint brush to help me, anything for peace :blue thumb:. In saying that We Would not change it for the world ,It does keep us going.:blue thumb::blue thumb:.
