OH is into amateur electronics, and finds a select few YouTube posters very interesting and informative. He is also addicted to a channel produced by a tank museum in Cairns, every week he looks forward to their Workshop Wednesday, when they show what restoration projects they have been working on. He also enjoys old black and white westerns and war films, and there are masses to choose from - although it turns out that he has already seen most of them!
We also both enjoy a travel blog by a Scot called Steve Marsh. He travels around mainly Northern Europe using public transport, trains and buses and very keen on ferries in particular. Great fun, no nonsense, and usually on a budget. He comes across as a very likeable bloke, and it’s been great following on with his trips to places we’d never bother to visit. His posts are more enjoyable than most of what’s on the big channels.
I do look for gardening and craft techniques, I do find that a picture / video is worth a thousand words. Also, for many things, including OH’s hobbies, by the time there is a book on it, it’s out of date as the technology has moved on so quickly.

I've only used YouTube twice to find a solution. I could have easily found one by other means, but the other would have been more difficult but not insurmountable. What would I do without YouTube - carry on regardless.

Boilers are scary things - all that rumbling. I absolutely know my limits but pressure and batteries are within the boundaries. I don't think you'd get it in a book without a great deal of difficulty.
I have a basic sewing machine that I hadn't used for over ten years. All knobs and numbers. I was able to find out what they did and make my covid masks. Remember them?
It's back in the bottom of the wardrobe again.
