The girls have decided on a bum burner of a curry, so I am being a wimp and having macaroni and cheese.

Tonight is barbecued hamburgers. Made with chuck beef ground up, cheddar cheese and bacon. Some have added jalapeno chunks for anyone but me. :nonofinger:

Afters is strawberries and whipped cream. I will decline the strawberries as I don't eat any fruit other lemons, limes and grapefruits. I do not have scurvy. :heehee:

Nachos tonight, basically Chili Con Carne on Nacho Chips topped with Guacamole and Sour Cream. I have already made the Guacamole and we don't have any Sour Cream but may use Tzatiki instead.

Looks like is going to be chicken legs with some sort of coating, done on the barbecue (too hot to have the oven on!) and whilst I have the barbecue running I will cook a whole chicken that we have in the fridge and that can be for tomorrow onward.

Very hot today, showing 77F in main garden and much hotter in the sun. I forget to put the canopy out over the lounge doors/windows (almost the whole wall is glass) and it was 92F in there a half hour ago. So have put the aircon on.

Cream of courgette and broccoli soup, roast shoulder of lamb done with herbs and garlic, roast spuds (almost ready now), stir fried veg and spiced rice. Just waiting for the spuds to finish cooking. The first portion of lamb will be plated, with everything else, and Mrs Shiney will take it to the old lady down the road whilst I finish dishing up our dinners. Mrs Shiney having roast chicken wings instead of lamb.

Later will be melon and raspberries for me and strawbs and blueberries for Mrs S.
