If you are desperate for a bit of tropical fruit then a pineapple hits the spot...♡♡♡♡
They are very sweet and ripe right now and, you can prepare the triangles, then lay them side by side on a sheet of cling film. Then cover with another sheet and press down to remove air pockets. Roll up the kit, put it in a foil sleeve and store in the freezer.
Just roll out the amount you need, cut it off, thaw and munch .
Comes back from frozen very successfully.
Ps. If you blitz it, add coconut milk and rum.... :spinning:
      Cheers,

I have no idea what I'm having for supper tonight. I behaved myself and had a couple of boiled eggs and on slice of unbuttered toast for breakfast. Then for lunch, two chocolate bars and a package of liquorice… I guess I should have something sensible for supper but I'm feeling like something more exciting. Maybe a Christmas cake and ice cream... :)

Sausage casserole with chilli, hubby has the sausage i just have the veg, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, peas and sprouts, half a red sweet pepper for me.

We always have a few pieces of pineapple and also mixed fruit with breakfast, that's cereal every day.

Thank you for that idea @Jenny namaste

Today hubs concocted a yummy vegetable stew in a spicy tomato sauce . Finally used up the remaining mushrooms adding them to Sweet Potato, Parsnips, White Kidney Beans , Green Beans ,Sweet Corn ,Onions and Garlic. Served with Basmati Rice and Red Cabbage and Carrot side in a Balsamic dressing.

@Upsydaisy at least you got here in the end, looks very nice. :)

We've been trying out a soya based protein to replace meat, it's not too bad.

Thanks, ,I must say that hubs is now quite happy to cook and eat more meat free meals than he use to be. I prefer this as I use to be vegetarian before we married and even afterwards I use to cook for him and our boys and for me I would just leave out the meat. I could never seem to be able to tolerate soya or tofu they always upset my tummy, Quorn doesn't.....but I don't like it at all. Just give me a plate of veg and pulses with a nice homemade sauce and I'm happy!:)

I'm a devout carnivore but Mrs S doesn't like red meats but does eat chicken.

I made a batch of bolognese yesterday and Mrs S had a Kapuska made with turkey (seemed appropriate :heehee:) mince. We've never used turkey mince before and she wasn't too keen on it.

Last night was rather eclectic :heehee:

We started off with popadoms with Cachumber. Then home made chicken soup with chicken wings and Vermicelli. Mrs Shiney then had a chickpea salad (onion, cucumber, tomato, lemon juice, pomegranate balsamic and Sumaq). I had some apple and blackberry crumble and some dates. :rolleyespink:
