    Hi,

Thanks CanadianLori and well said. Like you I'm blunt enough to make my feelings clear to their face before speaking about anyone; no one gets along with everyone so I think I'm doing pretty well with only a single "Ignore" and possibly this might even be resolved; I hope so but if not as you say don't become obssessive about it just move on and let it go.

Our CCTV is excellent not that we're glued in front of it but like yours it's a brilliant deterrent and has really scared our unfriendly neighbours who have a long history of burglary; beatings; car theft and drugs; very little strange vehicle traffic along the street now and life for us has dramatically improved.

Our best friends are through forums and they are genuine friends who can be trusted; over the years we've let so called friends go they only out for what they can get; these days it's rare to find genuine friends unlike 60 years ago when poverty ruled where kids played in gangs and neighbours looked out for each other; it's now as though more wealth has made so many people selfish and self centered as well as miserable; I like forums because I can share my interests and hobbies with like minded people. The only problem I have comes down to time; if I don't reply please do not take offence because I can't be everywhere at once; I keep popping onto forums whilst knocking off for mealtime or a mug of tea; it won't be long before the usual dire weather arrives which then tends to ground me so gives me more time to be keyboard warrior.

Good advice about exchanging email addresses Fat Controller; I've friends all over the world through forums I share email messages with. It's surprising the people I meet and become friends with; professors; doctors; magistrate and all manner of other really nice people to know.

Whilst visiting shops I've heard retired people quite proudly saying they don't have a computer; this is fine if they are content and have other things to occupy their time but I believe a computer opens up the world to new friends who exchange ideas and information so even during the worst of winter there are friends only a few keystrokes away. I've had a computer for 23 years and would be lost without it.

Dinner time again then after dinner the car to wash as first job.

    Kind regards, Colin.
