Not sure but think only the doubles are scented.

The single red one I have is slightly scented when in hot sun, kind of coconut or almond scent.

I think the original cuttings came from Mallorca some years ago, some branches were hanging over the wall of a garden onto the road so I did some pruning!
I will post pics soon when in flower.

Back in 2022 we decided that maybe we should stick one of the Monstera outside in the sheltered side border that runs alongside the house wall, as it is very sheltered and maintains a relatively frost free aspect. At no point though did I expect Monstera deliciosa, a tropical origin plant, would thrive in that area. Move forward to this year, and it looks bigger, and more luxurious than ever. It gets cold in winter, it can get below 8C in the day and near 0C at night at times of cold spells, but its not at all phased and never gets damage. It's also so happy it now grows aerial roots as well. 508596653_10161294498535404_2071177097809060448_n.jpg

This is the parent Oleander, at least 6 years old and stays outside all year.

A summer flowering protea, or have you held it back in some way, @CarolineL .

Good to see the crepe myrtle is flowering, mine are just starting, they are a month earlier than last year.

I have 2 different cynaroides @pete. I think this is Little Prince - more compact, flowers now, and a slightly different colour. The other is a standard winter/spring one. I have more trouble with that because damp rots the buds as they develop.

Ok, yes mine are just seed grown so not any varieties of known performance.

It seems to have good red petals to the flowers.

A few pics of an exotic garden I visited yesterday in Poole, open to the public on three days and all proceeds to charity, nice tea and cake. Dozens of Hedychiums and Eucomis and many very rare plants. The front and back are crammed full. Loads of plants for sale, I came back with a Musa lasiocarpa and a pink Echium. If I tried to get a photo of every plant I would still be there!!!!
