I was surprised that it kept 5 leaves all through the winter, it has put on at least 18" of growth and 11 new leaves so far. I think is starting to get top heavy but too late to repot.
Behind it are two Caesalpinia from your seeds which are growing slowly.

I'm really missing my Caesalpinia, I've got some seedlings like you but I'm thinking it will be a few years yet until flowers.
They just dont like growing in pots for me, so I've planted one out.

I thought you had a mature one planted out permanently.

        No not any more.
I never showed any growth last year, it flowered like crazy the year before.
Must have known it was dying.
It had been there for at least 20 yrs.

My Begonia luxurians was getting too big and leggy so I binned it but took cuttings before (in April) and this is one really growing well.

Nice @pete! I have an erythrina zeyheri grown from seed a few years ago that is producing enormous leaves and wicked thorns - but no flowers

Yes Ive had crista-galli for a number of years and I had a spell when I could get it to flower most years, but it's been a while since I last had one flowering.
These are cuttings from my old plants so maybe they are just starting to get going.

I've not come across E. Zeyheri it looks a smaller plant and perhaps more suitable for pot growing.

I grew E crista galli years ago and one flowered in it's second year, I kept it in the Palm House I was in charge of so the public could see it. I never tried it oudside. Nasty spines in the underside of the leaves.
