My last one (from Madeira) which flowered and was scentless but got RSM so it was binned. Always found them difficult to overwinter.

I'm suspicious about these seeds, I don't think they are Plumeria.

I can't remember what seedlings looked like in the past but if I Google pictures of the seed what they sent me don't fit.
The seed I have looks more like Dahlias of Zinnia or more likely just a weed.20220805_100232(0).jpg20220805_100402.jpg

          Nice one @roders .:dbgrtmb:
What variety are they, my small struggling tree is loaded this year and no leaf curl.
Mine is Perigrine and I'm thinking another couple of weeks yet.

Yes that's what I'm thinking, nothing like what they sent me.

I've ordered two, presumably, unrooted cuttings from a place in Wales, not sure what they are other than hopefully plumeria. They are on rip off Ebay, so could be any thing.

They should ban China from using Ebay IMO, I was looking at some more seed and it said from Malta, when it came up to paying it was shown as paying some geezer in China.

It's so frustrating now not being able to easily share plants/seeds/cuttings :wallbanging: You're more than welcome to the cuttings from mine if you want to take a chance on them arriving within a fortnight, and without a huge customs bill

Great excitement on the terrace today! Cryptostegia, which I've had several attempts at growing, is doing well this time and has a flower bud! It should open tomorrow, so watch this space for photos :)

Thanks for the offer but I don't think they would get through, do you?
It always took ages before, but you would probably have to fill in a customs declaration stating what is in the package.

Cryptostegia is a new one to me, closely related to plumeria by the looks of it.
Did you grow it from seed?

Yes, same family, Apocynaceae. This is my third attempt. They germinate really easily, but I lost all the other plants over various winters. I don't know why I thought it was Australian, but it's from Madagascar, so that explains why  Banned in Australia for being too invasive.20220806_102025.jpg20220806_124955.jpg

(The lower flower is a Dipladenia)...terrace is getting crowded

Well done, it is very pretty. I understand they are fast growers also, which I like. Is it scented?
