Our garden is always late getting into bloom but it's just starting now.

These pure white Aquilegias were all burnt by the frosts but are recovering. You may be able to see that the top leaves are burnt.

And this will be a mass of colour soon as the buds are all there

The golden grasses are just getting going. Of all the birds' water dishes this is their favourite (an old baking dish). We keep on a tilt so that birds of different sizes can stand in it :)

I love these things - they seem to multiply well, and survive being totally covered by border plants later in the year.

Armandii - I have only just put the Fritillaria outside. They not really hardy here, so they are in pots and have been in a shed with little light for most of the time, and only put in a greenhouse for 2 weeks before being put outside.

                                nfrost,
good pics :blue thumb: but in the background of your Aquilegia pic there appears to be some arums (may be mistaken). If they are, then you want to keep an eye on them because they can be very invasive without control.

                                ARMANDII,
I was going to say a similar thing to Peter, except it is even further ahead :heehee: . I usually calculate that your garden is about two weeks ahead of mine :dbgrtmb:. How are your exochordas doing? Are they in bud yet?
