Everything is looking lovely, shiney, and you are so much further along than we are.

Are those the Dutch Iris? Amazing that they have bloomed so long! Usually, they only last a few days and then they are gone.

Ah, the rhuhbarb! I think I made a comment last year. Ours are just poking their heads out, they probably need more light but nowhere to put them.

    Oh, you hadn't finished posting.

That must be a special sort of Cyclamen if it stays in the garden all year, isn't it? I've seen it growing wild in Turkey, but then it doesn't get so cold down there as up here. It must look lovely when all those clumps bloom.

Is that Hellebores or what? A different sort than we have, yours has long delicate stems.

    Hi Kedi

It is Iris stylosa - it normally blooms in January and continues for quite a long time. It is is the corner of a wall and is south and west facing. Five ft from it is a big shrub then conifers and a fence so it is almost enclosed on three sides. To the south the greenhouse is about 15ft away so you can imagine how well sheltered it is.

We split the rhubarb last year after it had been in the ground for 50 years. It seems to be doing very well.

Whoops! I missed your second posting.

The cyclamen is the common wild version Cyclamen Neopolitanum. We have it mainly in pink but some are white. It normally flowers twice a year but, like last year, it occasionally flowers three times. It spreads like mad and shoots its seeds a long distance on corkscrew stalks. We have them coming up all over the garden and in the lawn. It looks lovely in leaf and in flower.

The purple hellebore is Orientalis which I think is quite common. That also seeds quite easily and the stems may look delicate because we have removed the old leaves that are normally hiding them. I can't remember the names of the other hellebores.

    Thanks Kandy,
You know the names better than I do! :D

Gosh, it looks like Spring over there. Beautiful pics shiney and Pal.

    I've just got Freesias ...

    ... and more Freesias ...

But I'm not complaining as they are my favourite flower along with Carnations. I have a huge pot outside the back door (the white ones are in it) and I get a lovely scent wafting in when I'm here at the computer. [IMG]
