Shiney, yes, to the pestemons, Phygelius as someone told me too. Seems they come in all sorts of colours, so I might get a few more. You saying Lucifer, was it bobj who posted one recently too, beautiful colour splash.

OMG, that is really awful, all those slugs - and you weigh them now??? - do you sell them in the meantime? If so, then you are well on the way to becoming rich in your slug farming project!!!

high kype - you surely can't be referring to shiney's "little bit of heaven" from his last photo??? If so, I'm sure he'll gladly parcel them up and send them to you!

 to the slugs, shiney. As I'm a barefoot (but not pregnant) type of gal, wouldn't want them squelching up under my toes ... again!

What are the pretty little double purple flowers?

Your lovely butterfly appears to be a Inachis io, the Peacock. Funnily, we haven't seen many lately, butterflies that is in general. We had a blue of some sort the other day and both took pics but could only get it wings closed which it then looked white but was pale irridescent blue open, perhaps a Mazarine Blue ..

    Hi LoL
The pretty double flowers are geranium pratense (perennial).

We like walking around in bare feet but not in the evening this year. They seem to rush out of the flower beds every night and party on the lawn. Mrs shiney has taken bags of them on little holidays to the town down the road. although she doesn't weigh them she gets a pretty good idea of how much they weigh.

    LoL
She picks them up using the leaves of the Jerusalem sage. The leaves are rough and so the slugs don't slide off them. We couldn't put salt on them or cut them up as some of the others do.

Lovely photo's Shiney, you have a lot of the same type of plants as we have, especially the Inula and the Lucifer Crocosmia, though your slugs are quiet small compared to some of the monster ones we have in the garden, but my slug pellets soon finish them off [IMG] :D

    Kandy,
our slug pellets don't seem to work very well. Every time I throw them at the slugs I seem to miss. I think throwing rocks at them would work better [IMG] :D
